Purpose
To build ministry leaders who can change the world with Christ’s love.

Goals
The LSC Internship Program exists to provide opportunities for leadership development to individuals who are called to change the world by advancing God’s kingdom. We will focus on three areas of growth:

-Leadership growth
Students will be given opportunities to develop leadership and management skills throughout the program. Instead of just being given tasks to compete, they will be given responsibility for their success. They will learn about effective leadership and have the chance to put it into practice.
-Spiritual growth
Without Christ at the center, a ministry leader will burn out quickly. During the program, all interns are expected to push deeper in their faith and build habits of healthy spiritual growth. There will be weekly discussions designed to challenge and stretch their faith.
Practicing spiritual disciplines (Prayer, fasting, etc.)

-Personal growth
As students progress through the program, we desire them to show initiative not only in their ministry roles and spiritual life, but also in areas of personal growth and development. It is important to learn to overcome bad habits and instead pursue excellence. Important aspects include:
~Being punctual and professional
~Doing everything with excellence
~Maintaining a positive attitude

Core Activities
-Ministry tasks and projects throughout the week
-Weekly development group (including a book study)
-Weekend services
-Kidz Kaboom (week-long kids crusade)
-Outreach projects

LSC Internship Programs
The LSC Internship Program is designed for both personal and professional growth. As such, the program is divided into two pieces. Each intern will be working directly with the ministry department head for the program they have chosen. Throughout the summer, their primary focus will be honing their skills in their particular craft and gaining valuable experience in leading related projects.
