The

Bible

( Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

The Bible was written by human authors divinely inspired by God. The Bible is our final authority for all matters of faith and practice and is truth without error.

God and

the Trinity

(Gen.1:26, Matt.3:16-17)

There is one God who exists in three persons; the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God.

(Gen.1:26, Matt.3:16-17)

Jesus Christ is the son of God, and He is coequal with the father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus came to the Earth in flesh; he was fully man and fully god, born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. Jesus offered himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He physically resurrected from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. Jesus ascended to heaven, and will physically return again to this earth to reign as king.

Jesus

Christ

Human Being,

Sin Nature and

Redemption

(Gen. 1:26, Rom. 5:19-21)

All human beings were created by God, in His image and likeness, and have great potential for good. However, because of sin, we are all marred by an attitude of disobedience and this sin separates us from God. Our only hope is God’s redemption and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Repentance and

Salvation

(Eph. 2:8-9, Gal. 3:8, Titus 3:5-6)

repentance is commitment to turn away from sin, in every area of our lives, and follow Jesus Christ. Salvation is god‘s free gift to us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, but a gift we must accept. we cannot save ourselves from sin by self improvement, or good works, but trusting only in Jesus can we be saved from our sin.

Water Baptism

and Communion

(1 Cor. 10:16-17, Acts 8:12)

Following your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and receiving salvation, water baptism is practice by fully immersing a person in water “in the name of the father, son, and Holy Spirit”. Baptism is not necessary for salvation, but is a choice to obey Jesus’ command to follow his example. We practice communion regularly as a way to help us remember Jesus’ death and resurrection by receiving elements representing his body and blood.

Baptism in the

Holy Spirit

(Matt. 3:11, Acts 1:5, Eph. 4:4-6)

When a person puts their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, begins a relationship with him, the Holy Spirit begins to live inside that person at this moment of salvation. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a biblical promise that follows salvation and is available to every believer.

Gifts of the

Holy Spirit

(Heb. 2:1-4, Rom. 12:4-8, 1 COr. 12:4-11)

The Bible lists many gifts of the Holy Spirit used to confirm the power of the gospel in the life of a believer. The first century church practiced these gifts, and we should as well. We desire to have the gifts of the Holy Spirit functioning within members of our church family.

Physical Healing

and Divine

Healing

(Isaiah 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17)

Divine healing marked the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and is included in the Great Commission. Jesus‘ death on the cross was to make us spiritually well and provide physical healing to our human bodies. God’s miracle power of healing is freely given to us as we pray in faith and is also one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Marriage and

Sexuality

(Matt. 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9)

According to God’s design and intent sex difference (male and female) is an intrinsic part of what marriage is; a covenant bond between one man and one woman. God designed all sexual relations to take place within the covenant bond of marriage. God’s original intent for human sexuality was corrupted when sin entered the world, known as the fall, and therefore all people can experience corruption in their sexuality.
